With 2008 drawing to a close and the current recession, there's lots of speculation about what lies ahead for the media business in 2009.
I just read an article by Keith Richman from MediaPost. In it Richman sets out his predictions for 2009 including:
- A higher than predicted rise in online video viewing
- Online film becoming even more accessible
- Newspapers stepping up their online presence at the expense of print
- More online-only video (webisodes)
Of course there are as many opinions as there are people but none of us has a crystal ball so it's going to be interesting to see what actually unfolds in 2009.
