Who are we?
The National Screen Institute — Canada (NSI) is a training school for
writers, directors and producers in film, television and digital media. Read about our
organization and history.
What do we do?
We offer training and professional development for writers, directors and producers. To be eligible to apply for our training programs you must be a
Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, reside in Canada and be over the
age of 18.

We also run a year-round online short film festival called the
NSI Online Short Film Festival. Filmmakers submit their films for free and visitors to our website can watch for free.
