Watch trailer for NSI grad Josh MacDonald’s first full-length feature

Posted on Tuesday, August 03, 2010.

NSI Totally Television alumnus Josh MacDonald wrote FAITH, FRAUD & MINIMUM WAGE based on his play Halo. It premiered at the Shanghai International Film Festival and a Canadian debut is planned for the fall.

This quirky coming of age tale, starring Callum Keith Rennie (24, Californication) and Martha MacIsaac (Last House on the Left, Superbad), is about a teenage girl who fakes an image of Jesus Christ on the outside wall of her workplace in the week leading up to Christmas Eve, only to see events spin out of all control as her father begins to believe that the image is a special sign for him.

Director George Mihalka was nominated for a Director’s Guild of Canada Award for Best Direction – Feature Film.

Watch the trailer.
