Emmy and Tony-award-winning Andrea Martin celebrates her birthday January 15.
Perhaps best known for her work on SCTV, she has been featured in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Wag the Dog, The Simpsons, SpongebBob Squarepants, Sesame Street and Kim Possible.
In part one of this 1989 CityLights interview Brian Linehan talks with her about Club Paradise, going from improv to her own scripted series Roxie, why she admires Bea Arthur’s career and Tracey Ullman’s secret to success.

interview icon Brian Linehan. His incomparable research, love of
entertainment and keen interest in the artists and their stories were
appreciated by subjects and
audiences alike.

Sadly Brian passed away in 2004.
Brian Linehan has left his entire estate to The Brian Linehan
Charitable Foundation to support the creation of a Canadian star system
through financial support of advanced training programs, such as NSI,
and an aggressive promotion of talent.
