YouTube just turned five.

Online video of five years ago is quite different from what we see today. But where will we be five years into the future?

YouTube's Hunter Walk, writing on the Huffington Post website, thinks the distinction between online and offline video will disappear.

In brief, Hunter predicts:

  1. Online video will die. There will just be 'video.'
  2. There will be only one channel - the channel of 'you.'
  3. Put down the remote. Content will find you.
  4. Browsers - your content will be available anywhere you can log in.
  5. The creator's rewards will grow.
