Personal statement
Byron McKim says:
"I adapted The King of Siam from a short story written by Murray Logan that I loved. I was taken by the story because it reminded about the haphazard relationship I had with my father.
We used to hang out at a small horse track in my early teens looking for winning tickets drunks had mistakenly thrown away."
