Personal statement
Director Kevin Hoffman says:
"That Was Easy tells the story of a con man who finally meets his match in an equally talented con woman. From the outset it is unclear who will be the victor in this contest of wills.
While screenwriter Jim Calarco nursed the idea for this script for a long time, the actual draft was completed in a day. However, even a short script needs tweaking and several re-writes were completed right through filming and into the editing process.
Producer Claire Calarco, in addition to her regular duties secured the perfect location for the film, namely, a 1930’s style diner called The Delmar located in North Bay, ON. Ric Potvin handled the cinematography."
