Personal statement

Riley Beach says:

"
Sterile Atomic Fly mirrors the experience that young adults have once they graduate high school and find themselves in the real world. They’ve spent their lives being built up to finding a job and a partner, and being told that they can be anything they want to be if they put the effort forward.

Damon has spent his short life being built up as a superhero fighting a greater cause, yet finds himself stuck in a dead end job in a call center with no idea how to communicate with women.

By showing flies in a strange and futuristic call center, the audience will be given the same impression that they had when they first started working their first job and when they first moved out of their parents’ home. The real world is strange and alien at first, having to pay rent and work a full time job to pay the bills.

The unfamiliar yet relatable world of
Sterile Atomic Fly will put the audience in the proper mindset to appreciate Damon’s struggles as he tries to get a girlfriend and avoid being fired from his job."
