Sean Garrity leads directing workshop in Regina

Posted on Thursday, February 11, 2010.

Sean Garrity presents an advanced directing workshop – how to work with actors, February 27 & 28, hosted by Filmpool.

Using scene analysis as a jump off point, participants will plunge into the collaborative art of working with living breathing actors. New and emerging directors will have an opportunity to learn from acclaimed Canadian director Sean Garrity (Inertia, Lucid, Zooey & Adam) as he provides insight and tips on how to get the best performance from your actors.

This weekend workshop is designed for those who have previous experience directing their own individual film or video projects. Prior knowledge of your directing experience may be required, as this is an advanced class, which does not cover introductory basics.

Event takes place 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., February 27 and 28 at 301-1822 Scarth Street, Regina, Sask.

For workshop details or to register, please call the Filmpool at 306-757-8818. Deadline to sign up for this workshop is FEBRUARY 19.
