Synopsis
Concerned about their son’s 'lifestyle choice,' the Thompsons seek professional help. After exhausting all options, they take their son to see the eccentric Dr. Williams.
With the help of Dr. Williams, they learn that differences are only skin deep.

"I directed Our Son is a...
for the Vancouver Film School's (VFS) writing department. It was done through the "Portfolio Shorts" program, which allows student writers from VFS to see their words come to life. As a final assignment, writing students go through the production process with a professional director and crew, as their entire film is shot in 3.5 hours using limited locations.
I've done a number of these now, and I enjoy the process thoroughly. It's like boot camp for a filmmaker. Having only 3.5 hours to shoot a film forces everyone to be on top of their game, and it's quite surprising what you can put out in very little time. For Our Son is a...
, I had the pleasure of being paired with a talented writer named Jaime Martinez.
Jamie has a knack for comedy, which made for an hilarious story that takes place in the office of a quirky shrink. The actors gave great performances, and I felt that the cast and crew really gelled as a team on this one. I am very pleased with the turnout."
