Canadian film & TV school, National Screen Institute - Canada (NSI), has unveiled a new magazine-style home page for its website and the integration of Facebook Connect.

The NSI website is the first of its kind to leverage the Facebook API allowing visitors to login using their Facebook account - no need to create another online account.

The new magazine-style home page better showcases the diverse content on the NSI website which includes classic CityLights interviews with Clint Eastwood, a year-round online short film festival, a resource-rich blog section, and a library of video and audio interviews with industry members.

These developments coincide with the one year anniversary of the NSI’s redeveloped website which was launched to the public in summer 2008.

“This new page is another example of how NSI is keeping pace with the latest developments in media production, consumption and distribution,” said Raja Khanna, NSI board co-chair and Co-CEO GlassBOX Television. “I commend the team at the NSI for continuing in their tradition of leadership and innovation for film, television and digital media training.”

NSI’s web manager Liz Hover added, “We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our website given our limited budget as a non-profit training school.

“The home page reveals much more of the cool content we have online. And who wants to set up yet another online account? Now you can post comments on our website using your Facebook account.

“We’ve been on Twitter for a while but have finally integrated our tweets into our home page too.”
