Ursula Lawson | Co-Manager


Ursula has been with NSI since 2004. She has worked on many of its training programs in a variety of capacities.

Her additional responsibilities include Coordinator, NSI Global Marketing; Interim Coordinator, NSI Totally Television; and Executive Assistant to the NSI Board of Directors. She was also the Guest Services Coordinator for the NSI FilmExchange Canadian Film Festival.

Ursula is a committed volunteer to many events in Winnipeg. She loves the adrenaline rush she gets doing crossword puzzles in ink.

Sam Vint | Co-Manager


Sam is a life-long Winnipegger, a proud Metis and a graduate of the NSI New Voices program. For the last four years he has worked in various departments in the film and television industry including production, development, camera and post-production.

Sam’s experience ranges from drama to documentary to music and variety and includes an internship on The Sharing Circle Season 16, interviewing residential school survivors all across Canada, time spent in Bolivia working on a documentary about political changes, writing and directing a movie about the murder of his great-great-great grandfather Elzear Goulet and digitizing the works of his great grandmother the famed Metis poet Marie Thérèse Goulet Courchaine or "Manie Tobie."
