The National Screen Institute — Canada (NSI) has selected four participants for the 2007 NSI Global Marketing MIPCOM program. These TV producers, from Victoria, Toronto, Saskatoon and Calgary, will hone their selling, pitching, promoting and networking skills before heading to MIPCOM in October to sell their TV projects.
The 2007 NSI Global Marketing MIPCOM participants are:
- Erin Brown, The May Street Group, Victoria, BC
- Deborah Day, Canadian Accents Inc. Toronto, ON
- Dennis Hrapchak, Juxtapose Productions Inc. Saskatoon, SK
- Karen Pickles, Joe Media Group, Calgary AB
NSI Global Marketing is a four-month mentorship program for mid-level Canadian television producers. Participants work closely with program manager, Mickey Rogers to shape their projects, research and target specific international broadcasters, distributors and/or partners and explore appropriate buyers for their projects.
