NSI alum premiere new miniseries Diamonds on CBC

Diamonds, a two-part miniseries, premieres on CBC on April 5 and 12.

Liz Jarvis, NSI Features First alumna is a producer on this project and NSI Drama Prize alum Elise Cousineau is associate producer. Jennifer Kawaja and Julia Sereny are also Diamonds producers and were mentors for the Featuring Aboriginal Stories program delivered by the National Screen Institute.

Following a trail of greed and obsession, this powerful mini-series traces the international web that brings us diamonds - the world's purest and most dazzling gems.

From the fashionable enclaves of London, to the icy tundra of the Canadian Arctic, to the war-ravaged villages of Sierra Leone, Diamonds takes television viewers inside the glamorous - and sometimes dangerous and illegal - diamond industry. Inspired by the book Diamonds by Matthew Hart.

Diamonds is produced by Buffalo Gal Pictures, Sienna Films (Toronto), Alchemy Television Production and Philo Films.
