If you haven't already checked out the WorkBook Project, do it now.
The WorkBook Project - the brainchild of award-winning filmmaker Lance Weiler - undertook a project during Sundance to film a series of videos about the future of filmmaking under the heading NEW BREED.
Listen to how these innovative filmmakers have sought a new direction in film distribution, how no-one has the answer just yet, and how many filmmakers are experimenting with alternative distribution models.
This is truly inspiring stuff.
Discovering the questions
In this first one: Filmmakers Zak Forsman and Kevin K. Shah of Sabi Pictures arrive at
Park City intent on defining questions most relevant to
independent distribution. Hear from Brian Newman, Dan
Mirvish, Jon Reiss and Ira Deutchman.

Exploring the solutions
In this second video: Filmmakers Zak Forsman and Kevin K. Shah speak
with Ted Hope, Jon
Reiss, Mynette Louie (Children of Invention) and Linas Phillips (Bass
Ackwards) to explore emerging solutions for independent
filmmakers.
