Ken Hegan and Chantal Rondeau’s Olympic presence

Posted on Thursday, February 11, 2010.

Congrats to alumni Ken Heagan and Chantal Rondeau who are both doing special things for the Winter Olympics.

Ken Hegan, NSI Features First grad, wrote CTV's epic opening script for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Narrated by Donald Sutherland, this inspiring film will be seen by 10 million viewers during the Opening Ceremonies Friday Feb 12.

He also wrote 12 sports medicine scripts for CTV's Superbodies which will air during the Olympics. These CGI-rich videos take viewers inside athletes’ bodies to show how intense Olympic competition alters their nerves, flesh, and bones.

And NSI New Voices grad Chantal Rondeau, of Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation, was selected as one of eight First Nations Youth (aged 19-29) from around the Yukon to be a part of the Yukon Contingent for Vancouver 2010 .
