Synopsis
It seemed simple for Thomas on his anniversary: buy some flowers, get ready for romance. But everywhere Thomas looks, he sees himself looking back. He can’t escape each new, yet very familiar, face. And just when it all seems like too much, guess who's home to celebrate...

Personal statement
Director John Hollinger says:
"The goal of Doppelganger
was threefold:
- Create a technically challenging yet technically sound piece.
- Become a catalyst for discussions and debate on the future of research, health-care, and ethics tied to cloning, stem-cell research, and related issues.
- Entertain.
Hopefully the short has succeeded in all these areas. Perhaps some measure of the production's success is that in addition to being selected for the NSI Online Short Film Festival, Doppelganger
has also been named as an official selection of the Edmonton International Film Festival."
