Personal statement

Nicholas Humphries says:

"When Bob and Andrew sent me the script for Don’t Call Me Zombie I loved it but was still pretty new at directing and turned it down. I didn’t feel like I could do it justice. A year later it still hadn’t been made so we decided to just pool our resources and film the thing.

We shot it over a weekend in the summer of 2008 with some friends and borrowed equipment. I’ve since been lucky enough to direct some larger projects but wouldn’t replace the experience of making a movie for the fun of it with people you love for anything in the world.

Don’t Call Me Zombie went on to receive the Aloha Accolade at the Honolulu Film Festival this year and Claire Lindsay received Best Actress at the Tabloid Witch Awards for her role last Halloween. I am thrilled it has now found a home at NSI."
