What is TELUS STORYHIVE Digital Shorts?
STORYHIVE is a community-powered funding program that allows members of the community to influence what projects will receive funding from TELUS.
The program allows content creators in British Columbia and Alberta to submit their story ideas to an online public platform. The community then votes for the project that should receive funding and go into production.
NSI delivers training for the selected projects and their creators once they’re chosen through the STORYHIVE process. The public chooses projects from content creators in British Columbia and Alberta.
Each of the finalists receive a $10,000 production grant, training and mentoring from seasoned NSI team members, and distribution on TELUS Optik™ TV On Demand.
Winners also take part in a one-day winners workshop held in their home province. Workshops are held in Vancouver and Edmonton.
Participants then go into competition again to determine the final winners.
One winner in each province receives the top award consisting of customized career training and mentorship, a scholarship to the Banff World Media Festival and distribution on select TELUS platforms.
How much does it cost?
There is no submission fee.
