One of my favourite websites CinemaTech points to a review on the New York Times website about changing technologies in the 1950s.
The New York Times review of a new DVD of The Robe directed by Henry Koster offers some great historical context on CinemaScope and other widescreen technologies of the 1950s which, interestingly enough, mirror some of the changes in technology we're experiencing today. Read more...
