The National Screen Institute — Canada (NSI) Board of Directors has appointed a new chair and vice chair.
Jamie Brown – CEO & Executive Producer, Frantic Films is now Chair, NSI Board of Directors, taking over from Laura Michalchyshyn.
Christine Shipton – Vice President, Original Programming, CanWest MediaWorks is now Vice Chair, NSI Board of Directors, taking over from Alexandra Raffé.
NSI bids a fond farewell to the following board members:
- Kevin DeWalt – CEO, Minds Eye International
- Isabel Metcalfe
- Peter Moss – Corus Entertainment Creative Consultant, Corus Television
“NSI is the country’s leading film and television training school with an amazing list of accomplishments,” said Jamie Brown. “I've been so impressed with what they've done for emerging talent. Laura Michalchyshyn has been a wonderful chair for the past three years and I'm honoured to take on this role. With such high profile industry figures on the board, there are incredible resources supporting NSI and I look forward to a very exciting year ahead.”
