Celebrating 25 years NSI grad Rob King

Wrapping up our 25th anniversary alumni spotlight posts we bring you NSI grad Rob King.

Rob is a grad of NSI Drama Prize.

In 1995 he made his film Talker through the program with producer Lloyd Martell.

Spotlight on Rob King

Rob says, 'NSI training gave me some great ways to organize my shooting to get what I want with little time and few resources.'

Rob's NSI Drama Prize film Talker went on to the Worldwide Short Film Festival and was featured on Independent Eye with Geoff Pevere.

Rob was a partner and president of creative affairs at Minds Eye Pictures until 2001 when he decided to focus on directing and writing.

He has directed over 60 episodes of series television, two feature films, five MOWs and several documentaries. His feature George Ryga's Hungry Hills premiered at TIFF in 2009. His documentary Silent Bombs: All For The Motherland won five awards at Yorkton in 2010 including Best Of The Festival.
