From Up North is a personal, poetic short documentary directed by Trudy based on her experience working for the Truth & Reconciliation Commission.
The film features Noel Starblanket who shares his experiences of attending the Lebret Indian Residential School. While listening to Noel’s stories, Trudy reflects on her time listening to survivors’ stories and her connection to the Indian Residential School legacy.
The event happens Wednesday, May 24 at 7 p.m., with a reception at 6:30 p.m. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Trudy and Noel. Find out more.
