Congratulations to the NSI grads with films nominated for the 2017 Winnipeg Film Group Windy Awards.

  • Menorca from John Barnard, Chris Charney and Kyle Bornais (all NSI Features First) is up for the William F. White Feature Length Film Award, best screenplay and best editing.
  • Q&A from Ashley Hirt (NSI New Voices) and Crash Site from Sonya Ballantyne (NSI New Voices, NSI Aboriginal Documentary – now known as NSI IndigiDocs) are up for the NSI (hey!) Short Fiction Award.
  • That Mennonite Joke from Orlando Braun (NSI Business for Producers) is up for the Gimme Some Truth Festival Short Documentary Award.

The awards are handed out on February 25.
