Not long ago my partner and I traversed the vast country of America.
This dreamy lyrical documentary muses on the subtle shifts in landscape, how land shapes culture and how, tied together, these elements create a national identity.

Driving across America and back (from Prince Edward Island to LA) in the span of one month is not an ideal way to vacation. Too far too fast.
But covering that territory so quickly gave me an amazing insight into the fluidity and unity of landscape and culture.
One land-form spills into another, generates another, refines another. One continuous body. Boarders cleave artificially. And human culture is so inextricably tied to the land and ecology.
When you pass by and through so much so fast, this all seems quite clear.
