Filmmaker’s statement

Consolation Prize came to mind while visiting two long-time friends in Edmonton.

On the drive back home to Canmore I was reminded how those fields of wrecked cars and trucks always seemed a fascinating location to set a film so I wrote the short on the way home. As I pulled in around 6 a.m. I scribbled it all down. It changed very little after that.
