Consolation Prize came to mind while visiting two long-time friends in Edmonton.
On the drive back home to Canmore I was reminded how those fields of wrecked cars and trucks always seemed a fascinating location to set a film so I wrote the short on the way home. As I pulled in around 6 a.m. I scribbled it all down. It changed very little after that.

His latest short film, Consolation Prize, is currently on the festival circuit and has been selected for 24 festivals. His TV series Hug-O-Gram is now on TELUS Optik TV as well as Air Canada flights.
Currently he’s working on Some Other Guys, a feature documentary about the music scene in Liverpool and Hamburg in the early 1960s, concentrating on Cavern Club favourites The Big Three, a short dramatic comedy called The Butcher and The Forgotten Man, a feature set in Paris in the 1920s.
