Music video for recording artist Kevin Drew featuring Zach Galifianakis and Leslie Feist.
Director: Samir Rehem
Producers: Kevin Drew, Matt King, Andrew Ferguson
This video’s performance and conceptual footage all takes place in a single location – a traditional yet opulent ballroom. These two elements were broken down into four parts and then intercut together to slowly build to the video’s finale.
The crescendo is a combination of Kevin Drew and Feist singing alongside Zach Galifianakis and his backup dancers all performing one of Zach’s one-off contemporary dance choreography.
All of this results in a conclusion that is celebratory and joyful, highlighting the notion behind the lyric, “It’s the way that you were.”
We had a terrific time making this piece. A lot of people were involved and they did it out of love. We are very pleased with the result.
