About Zhi-Min Hu
Zhi-Min Hu, a Montreal-based Chinese-origin filmmaker, has written, directed and produced numerous films over the last decade including experimental, documentary and fiction.
A graduate of Concordia University (Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, Film Production), she has a wide breadth of experience in directing, cinematography and editing, and has established a unique signature in her fields that encompasses a combination of realism and surrealism.
Ms. Hu was selected as a film director for the Coupé court au racisme film festival and produced one of the five films presented.
Her work has been presented at film festivals including Cannes (Short Film Corner), Shnit Film Festival, Victoria Film Festival, Fantasia Film Festival and the Montreal World Film Festival, among others.
Ms. Hu also has a film critic’s column in the Chinese Press, a weekly Montreal Chinese Newspaper.
