Night Owl High and Straight to Video win TO WebFest awards

Night Owl High, a TELUS STORHIVE web series finalist from Kris McRonney and Tom Masterman, just won the Freshly Baked New Content award from TO WebFest.

In Night Owl High, delusional vice-principal Perd Carlyle imagines himself as a noir detective and fights to take back his school from the rebellious students, who have seized control and reduced the hallways to chaos and ruin.

Night Owl High also received a great review from Web Vee Guide this week.

Straight to Video: the B-Movie Odyssey (above), another TELUS STORYHIVE web series finalist from Cody Kennedy and Tim Rutherford, also won TO WebFest awards for outstanding directing and outstanding action or horror series.

In Straight to Video: the B-Movie Odyssey, the vortex consumes a video store clerk. Now he’s trapped inside B-movies and must use his film smarts to survive.
