Filmmaker’s statement

Produced by Toronto-based production company, 81 Entertainment, Her Eyes is a short film that tells the beginning of a dysfunctional relationship built on obsession, addiction and insecurities.

“This film is really about human relationships and the deep desires some may have, even when they cross the line of taboo,” says executive producer Mitch Cappe.

It was a simple concept that lured executive producers Mitch Cappe and Matt Coatsworth to the project. “It’s not a stretch of the imagination to think there are people out there that could be watching you without you knowing it,” says Coatsworth. “It’s a messed up world.”

Although prep work for the film took half a year, the short was filmed entirely in Toronto in two days over two weekends.
