“I find it really hard to come up with good short film ideas, so when I came up with the idea that would eventually turn into They Wore Pink, I finally felt I had something that would work.
It was also a really great opportunity to work with Tygh and Lauren again after A Night For Dying Tigers. We had been looking for a reason to ‘get the band back together,’ and this was perfect.”
About Terry Miles
Terry Miles was born in Moose Jaw, raised in Calgary, and travelled out to Vancouver to play rock and roll.
After years of touring and recording music, his lifelong love of world cinema led him to filmmaking.
Because most of his favourite North American directors wrote their own films, he decided he needed time to write. He went to the University of British Columbia and received his BFA and MFA in creative writing, bought a miniDV camcorder, and made his first feature film, When Life Was Good (2008), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
He was back at TIFF in 2010 with A Night For Dying Tigers (2010) starring Jennifer Beals, Gil Bellows, Lauren Lee Smith, Kathleen Robertson and Tygh Runyan.
