Get the brand new digital submission form and details here.

The NSI Online Short Film Festival is a year-round Canadian short film showcase with new films online each week.

Films that meet award criteria are eligible for the $2,500 Shaw Media Fearless Female Director Award, $1,250 A&E Short Filmmakers Award, and the $750 Bite Comedy Award. Awards are presented four times a year. Read more about the awards.

The shorter the film, the better – entries cannot be longer than 30 minutes. Drama, comedy, animation, short documentaries, sci-fi, horror, music video and experimental films are all eligible and must be Canadian. There is no submission fee. Films must be available online for viewing by the selection committee. DVDs submissions will NOT be accepted.

The NSI Online Short Film Festival is made possible through the support of Presenting Sponsor Shaw Media, Program Partner Telefilm Canada, Comedy Award Sponsor GlassBOX Television Inc., Female Director Award Sponsor Shaw Media, Overall Best Film Award Sponsor A&E Television Networks, and Supporting Sponsor Netflix.
